Marc Cohen, New York Mercantile Exchange, Board Chair

Marc Cohen graduated from Washington University in 1986 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. He has been trading commodity options for the past 20 years. Marc is a member of the New York Mercantile Exchange and the Intercontinental Exchange and has served on numerous committees within these exchanges. He has always been interested in school reform and joined the VOICE Board in October of 2009. Marc has served on the admission task force and the audit, finance and nominating committees. He currently serves as Board President.

Robert de Luna, press secretary, New York City Health + Hospitals, Board Secretary

Mr. de Luna joined New York City Health + Hospitals, the public safety net health care system of New York City, in 2016 as its press secretary and senior director of media relations. From 2005 to 2016, he served as director of public information at United Hospital Fund, where he was responsible for media relations and a range of internal and external communications needs. Immediately before, Bob was director of marketing and communications at The Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he coordinated and oversaw a comprehensive program for the hospital and medical school. Bob also served as communications director for the merged Mount Sinai NYU Health and, before that, for NYU Hospitals Center. Bob began his health care communications experience in 1994 at ColumbiaPresbyterian Medical Center (since renamed), serving initially as director of publications, but ultimately leading all components of the hospital's public relations office. He coordinated a range of communications efforts related to the merger that created New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Bob serves as treasurer on the board of the Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Society of Greater New York. Bob's previous work experience includes running his own tutoring and test preparation company and a very early five-year career as a foreign currency exchange broker and trader. The valedictorian of his Columbia University undergraduate class, Bob went on to do graduate work at Stanford University and NYU.

Christopher Doyle, Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP

Christopher J. Doyle has a broad corporate and securities law practice, with particular focus on mergers and acquisitions as well as public and private securities offerings and financings. Mr. Doyle advises public companies and boards of directors on corporate governance and securities law compliance matters. He also represents issuers, underwriters and agents in a variety of debt and equity offerings, including IPOs, PIPES, registered direct offerings and Regulation S/144-A transactions. Mr. Doyle has an extensive knowledge of structured securities, both equity-and credit-linked, the environmental credits market and foreign securities laws.

Loraine Enlow, Music Associate, Children & Youth at St. James' Church

Ms. Enlow is Music Associate for Children & Youth at St. James' Church, Madison Avenue (NYC). In this position, she is responsible for a graded choir program of students from kindergarten through high school, and assisting with the adult choirs. Prior to St. James', she served as Organist and Choirmaster at Holyrood Church (NYC) for five years, where she founded and directed the Washington Heights Choir School: a free, unauditioned, daily, singingbased after-school program for underserved elementary students. Mrs. Enlow holds a double-degree with highest honors from the New England Conservatory of Music for viola performance and music theory. While at NEC she also studied theory at Harvard University and at MIT. Her graduate work was at the University of Chicago, where she was a Century Teaching Fellow in ethnomusicology, and also Visiting Fellow at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel, where her work in Coptic liturgy earned her presentations at conferences worldwide. She has also done post-graduate study in early childhood music education at both the Catholic University of America and the Hartt School of Music, and has served as a national adjudicator for the National Guild of Piano Teachers. In addition to her teaching work, Mrs. Enlow is an active volunteer in both community and professional organizations. In addition to her work with VOICE, she is on the regional steering committee of the Anglican Association of Musicians and serves on the Vestry of the Church of the Resurrection.

Richard R. Grassey, Jr., Senior Vice President – Wealth Management UBS Financial Services

Rick has spent over 30 years in wealth management catering to wealthy families, small to medium sized businesses, and non-profits with comprehensive planning and financial services. He has been active in various philanthropic and charitable efforts, including serving as treasurer, vestryman and finance committee chair at St. Bartholomew's Church (Manhattan) and founding board member of the Foundation for Treatment of Children with AIDS (FTCA). In addition to his work with VOICE, he currently sings in the choir at All Saints (Episcopal) Church Briarcliff Manor, New York and has two children.

Michael R. guarini

Mike Guarini is an accomplished marketing and branding specialist with extensive experience in the healthcare and consumer products industries. Mike is a highly recognized authority in the marketing and advertising field.

Mike has successfully developed several businesses. Mike was the founder of Ogilvy Healthworld, the healthcare practice arm at Ogilvy & Mather a leading global advertising agency. At Ogilvy Mike spearheaded award winning work for key healthcare clients including Merck, Glaxo and Sanofi among others. Prior to Ogilvy Mike founded The Gramercy Group a database anchored advertising and branding agency. The Gramercy Group serviced a diverse range of healthcare and consumer products clients. The company was sold to Publicis Group a major French owned advertising agency in 1998. Prior to The Gramercy Group Mike was the Director of Marketing at Bristol-Myers Squibb. Mike began his career at Colgate-Palmolive in the consumer products area.

At present Mike operates a marketing and branding consultancy focused on the healthcare industry and healthcare service providers. Mike also has considerable expertise in the nonprofit world. Mike is a Senior Consultant at the National Executive Services Corp (NESC) an organization that provides pro bono consulting to a wide range of nonprofits.

Mike holds an MBA in Marketing and Business Management and has numerous professional affiliations and industry recognition.  Mike is a voting member of the Medical Advertising Hall of Fame, a founding member of the PhAME awards for advertising excellence and an award winner as a top 20 healthcare marketer by Medical Marketing & Media magazine.

Mike resides in New York City and is active in a number of charitable and community organizations.

Michael Karp, Michael Karp Advisory Services

Mr. Karp has been a volunteer Project Leader Consultant with NESC – National Executive Service Corps serving nonprofit organizations including several school systems. Previously Mr. Karp was Chairman of Don Aux Associates, a management consulting firm serving middle market companies. Earlier Mr. Karp was a Senior Consultant with Peat Warwick and Mitchell. He served on client Boards and was a frequent invited speaker by trade and industry associations. Mr. Karp holds a BS Degree in Chemistry from Penn State and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania. He was also on the staff at the Wharton School, where he taught statistics.

Casey Lamb, Schools That Can

Casey Lamb is committed to ensuring that all children have access to high quality educational opportunities and to empowering children with the skills, knowledge, and internal drive to determine their own path to success. This passion began to develop as an undergraduate student at Pomona College, where she studied education policy and psychology. Thus far in her career, she has pursued this by working as a special education teacher and coordinator in public schools serving low-income communities, first as a Teach For America Corps Member at a district school outside of Atlanta, Georgia, and most recently as the Learning Specialist Coordinator at an all girls charter school in New York City. Outside of the classroom, she attained a Masters of Education in Special Education and has been selected to participate in several competitive fellowship programs supporting individuals working towards progressive change within education and the greater community. Formerly the Executive Director of STC New York City, Casey is the Chief Operating Officer for STC National heading development efforts and local and national capacity building.

Gavin Schryver, Kasowitz Benson Torres LLP

Gavin D. Schryver is a complex commercial litigator, with a particular focus on, restructuring litigation, antitrust matters, commercial and contract litigation, and other complex disputes. Mr. Schryver represents companies and individuals in connection with pre‑dispute negotiations, state and federal litigations, and arbitrations and other alternative dispute resolutions.

Mr. Schryver has two young children in New York City charter schools, and was drawn to service on the VOICE board of trustees after experiencing firsthand New York's daunting school selection process.

John Yarmick

John J Yarmick is a retired banker with over 35 years in the financial services industry, specializing in risk policy formulation. He serves as a trustee for a number of non-profit organizations, which all include education among their important mission fulfilling activities. He is currently serving as Treasurer for two organizations, and is or has been the Chair of the Audit Committee for two other organizations. He joined the board of VOICE in 2015, is a member of the Finance Committee and is currently serving as Chair of the Audit Committee. Mr. Yarmick holds a B.A. degree summa cum laude with honors from Fordham University and a M.A. degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. Mr. Yarmick currently serves on VOICE’s HR & Talent, Finance and Audit Committees.
